Sunday Wiggle

So had a fab weekend, finally found my Christmas party dress (relief) a Wheels and Dollbaby 50s style wiggle dress, and a very chilled out Sunday with me and some friends going to see Imelda May at Empire Middlesbrough, never really listened to  her music before but my friends are big fans so I though its ages since i've been to a gig lets check it out. In all the sing-a-long and dancing I forgot to take some pics but would definatly suggest you go see Imelda May for great live music, she has an amazing voice and a great live brand definatly music to wiggle to.

Mountains of Madness

Playful experimental scultural work made during my MA.
Created from bits cluttering up my studio, salt, wire, PVA, crystals and model Galleon.
Endeavouring to create an atmospheric small scale model inspired just a bit after reading At the Mountains of Madness.

Fun at the Pickering 40s Revival

Had a fantastic retro weekend at Pickering with a couple of friends, looking forward to next years already.

In the tilt hat I finally finished on the friday night before Pickering, it was a close one, flowers ribbons and bows to match my blouse from nudeedudee at etsy.

Feeling very patrotic on the Sunday.
We had a very lesuirely journey that day, via the Whitby to Pickering steam train and by which we where able to spend some time at 'Le Visham' the Nasi occupied and remote 'french' hamlet.

Even being 2011 its still a bit chilling to see this menacing duo in full nazi army regalia as your leaving your carriage for the cosy rural station platform, I can say that we didn't spend an awful lot of time at Le Visham and jumped back onto the train for Pickering.

My train ticket and compact.

It was fabulous to see so many of the visitors dressed up in full 40s civilian and forces clothing, this was our second time at the North Yorkshire 40s revival weekend and we always so pleased to see all the enthusiasts dressed to the nines, it was all very elegant and stylish. However I did get a few curious looks from the people in the patrol station the morning we arrived, however that was Whitby and they should be used to it by now!

There was only problem with this 40s weekend and that is it ended to soon.

God Bless Etsy!

You can find a whole host of amazing things on Etsy (and I spend far to much time browsing through the vintage clothing section) but I suggest you check out these amazing stamps by ttyr. Recently I've had some made in my logo and I definitely suggest that you take a look at the bespoke stamps, that can be made in an amazing variety of quirky and cute designs, I think they make a fab personalised touch to courtesy cards etc.
